2010 Chevrolet Camaro outsells Mustang for third consecutive month
The Chevrolet Camaro has done it again - for the third consecutive month, the 2010 Camaro has outsold the 2010 Ford Mustang in an all out muscle car war. For the month of August, General Motors’ Camaro outsold Ford’s Mustang by 2,391 units.

General Motors reported a total of 8,680 Camaros sold in August while Ford reported a total of 6,289 Mustangs riding of dealer lots.

In June 2009, the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro outsold the new 2010 Ford Mustang 9,320 to 7,362. Last month, GM sold...

A Ford Mustang convertible on a rental lot is not an insult.

It's a profit for Ford and for the rental lot.

People want to rent a Mustang convertible for a few days while on vacation.

EL34, Invisible meant it as in: even with rentals the mustang is still selling less than the Camaro. It's basic logic.

That's a no-brainer. Camaros look ten times better and offer a 300+ hp entry level V6, something the mustang does not even get close to.

I think that the styling for the Mustang, Camaro, and Challenger are beautiful is such different ways. They're similar, but neither is better looking than the other. It's like comparing a hot, sexy lady with a cute, sexy lady. lol

You must be drunk to think you could compare the "modern hotrod" to a sexy lady. Then again fat girls apparently look more attractive the more wasted you are.

Not comparing... just making an analogy.

More than any of the comments above is the fact that the Chevy faithful have a new symbol to flock to. "New" and "highly anticipated" = more sales for the immediate future.

I'm not surprised with the Camaro outselling the Mustang.

The Camaro is a brand new design and people are exciting.

I totally expected it.

no surprise here-the camaro just came out after a hiatus, but the mustang was here the whole time, so people start to think of mustangs as too commonplace. i'd get the camaro, btw

I think that they sold all 8,680 vehicles last month in LA. The new Camaro's are everywhere. Congrat's to GM.

Now, pray that gas stays cheap or you're gonna see those Camaro sales disappear like the Angeles National Forest (north of LA) did in the wildfires this weekend.
