This is the same list as the best sellers from 2008 and 2007.

My point is that as long as gas remains cheap (<$3/gal), consumers are buying the same vehciles that they have always bought - it just happens to be fewer of them in 2009 due to the poor economy.

Too bad the availability of Prius ran out way early due to limited battery supply. Many people looking for a Prius ended up with a Camry or Corolla. The Prius sales volume would've easily doubled and even topped the passenger car sales chart for the month if only there were cars in the dealerships for people to buy. Time for Toyota to look for new battery suppliers if they are to keep pushing hybrids.

It doesn't matter which supplier they choose they still get all their materials from the same sources. It's a shame that they are running out of materials before any true electric cars became massively available to the public.

That just means that everyone who didn't need a truck didn't buy one (which is a good thing) or that people who do need one are avoiding the purchase.
