As you may know, there was a rumor back in that Audi is developing an electric version of the R8 dubbed ePerformance which will make its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Of course, as usual, the German manufacturer denied everything but it seems that there is something true, because Audi launched today a new microsite called electricityuntamed.com

The website shows a teaser of the upcoming vehicle which appears to be a redesigned R8. “What’s happened to electricity? It got dumbed down and domesticated. On September 15 electricity, and all its force and power, will run free and completely untamed.”
