IAA 2009: The New BMW M6 Competition Limited Edition
In addition to several world premiers introduced at the upcoming Frankfurt Auto Show, BMW Group brings out more special editions of already produced vehicles. This includes the BMW M6 Competition which stands out among others by an exclusive design, both interior and exterior.

BMW will also introduce a new color in the M6 line-up, Frozen Gray Mettalic….matte finish. The M6 Competition Edition is limited to only 100 vehicles, all of them carrying a special engraving.

Inside, the few lucky customers can choose between two design variations, the Merino full leather interior with either black or light gray two-tone contrast stiching. Special floor mats with the “M6 Competition” stitched on them will emphasize the limited edition M6 the owner has purchased.

There are also some fine technical tuning, starting with a special suspension which will provide even more momentum, and continuing with revised springs, dampers and stabilizers. The ride has also been lowered by 10 mm upfront and 12mm at the rear.

omg I've been waiting my whole life for this car. Anyone know who'd be willing to buy a few stolen babies?

Very nice, and tastefully done, the 6 series has really aged well. My coworker has a 2008 M6 that has literally never been seen dirty and it's an amazing look car. The M6 is the best design of the Bangle era by far.

The Bangle butt still has not grown on me... looking forward to the next generation evolution of this design.

Wow. I'm so happy they brought the competition package back. The competition M3 is sick. The wheels and alcantara steering wheel made me want that package alone.I love the white/black themed interior on the M6. Every ///M model should have a competition package and for god sakes bring a ///M1.

They need to update this car. Starting to look a bit dated

I agree. This car needs a new look, but I thought that when it first came out. Make the next one more luxurious, but please don't make it's snout jut out like on the new 7.

BMW releases a "special" right before productions of a particular model. The E63 M6 Coupe is no exception. The matte gray paint could be cool. Would like to see it in broad daylight. The new 6 Series is righ around the corner.

overweight, underloved and not competitive. And now a "competition package" consisting of paint and leather. BMW, ditch that dog and give us a real M6
