Nissan Murano to receive new diesel engine from Pathfinder
There were rumors on the Internet that the popular Nissan Murano is going to receive a brand new V6 diesel engine in order to deliver a better fuel consumption and to improve the sales. According to the latest reports, it appears that the SUV will not receive the V6 diesel power plant but in favor of a brand new 4-cylinder diesel engine, also used on the current Nissan Pathfinder.

The engine, capable to deliver 174 hp, will not only deliver a better fuel consumption but will also make the car cheaper and a powerful rival for cars such as the Mazda CX-7, which carries at 2.2-liter turbodiesel engine capable to deliver 173 hp.

I honestly don't know how they could possibly make the new car look like a predecessor. The taillights look cheap, and the front needs the entire sun to let it shine.

Very few SUVs and SUTs are actually sold with V6 diesels. Toyota (Prado, 4Runner, Fortuner, Hilux), Nissan (Pathfinder, Xterra, Navara), Mitsubishi (Challenger, Pajero, L200), Isuzu (D-Max), and others all come with 4 cylinder turbo diesels. The Toyotas in particular are very smooth with the sweetest turbine whistle you will ever hear from a diesel! I kid you not. Music to my ears!
