Mercedes-Benz must be sh*tting their pants right now. Mercedes-Benz's global sales through the first 8 months of 2009 have fallen 18% to 632,700 cars.

Audi, comparatively has seen global sales fall just 7.5% through the same period of 2009 to 616,760.

Last year Mercedes-Benz sold 1.1 million cars and Audi sold 1.03 million. A difference of 97,000 cars.

This year the difference has ben narrowd to just 15,940!

I predict Audi overtakes Mercedes-Benz for the title of second-best premium luxury brand in 2010 and then overtakes BMW for the top spot by 2013.
