Personally, I consider the McLaren F1 the absolute epitome of supercar design efficiency.

Umm, where are the tail lights?

Otherwise, car looks fantastic. I really am giddy to read the comparo tests between this and the 458.

i don't want to downgrade the 458, but that's not the benchmark for a mc laren supercar if you ask me

Lets just say with all of the new supercars coming out, Top Gear in November will def be worth the watch

To me the car is looking like British car Noble. But as the Mclaren engineers say they didn't intend to make F430 or gallardo and their full focus was on performance and technology. Every part of the car is Performance first design second. Nice.
And still it's looking better than 458 italia to me even California.

Well...I'm not particularly moved. The steering wheel is to one side and the body is not distinct...correction..."bespoke" looking. Oh well. I can't afford one anyway so it doesn't really matter.

Yeah, way too generic looking. I was never a fan of the way the original looked. Also, this must be the ugliest rear I have ever seen!

Great car, better looking than MB SLS and will be big hit!

I think it look like what the offspring of a Cayman S and a Gallardo would look like.

Gordon Murry is probably not very happy and since Gordon Murry is god I am probably not very happy with it.

Ron Denis you are an OCD FREAK YOU HEAR ME! It should not have the silly logo that no one knows, people know the name McLaren, not a silly Star Trek communicator pin. Put the logo on it like the McLaren F1 with the name McLaren. Oh yea add some rear lights too and the interior looks like it was designed for midgets, not the airy cabin in the F1. Too conventional and no carbon brakes the Ferrari Italia is more elegant and more modern.

I ONLY CARE ABOUT THE FERRARI's

Looks extremely generic for a supercar. The stats of 0-100kph in under 4.0 seconds and a top speed of over 320kph mean that this is not speed record breaker like the F1. That 3.8L V8 is a real gem though, on paper so far at least.

turbocharged? to get 600hp from a V8. Hmm not so great in the engine department i would say. BMW had a 6.0 litre V12 in the McLaren F1 that produced over 620HP. the upcoming LF-A has a 4.8 litre V10 that produces around 550HP. The Ferrari 458 uses a 4.5 litre V8 with about 560 HP. McLaren needs a turbo to produce 600? What's going on there?
