Next Gen Hyundai Elantra Spotted.

Next Gen Hyundai Elantra Spotted.
It seems as if Hyundai-KIA Motors has been on a roll, and wishes to continue that roll by releasing their Next Generation Elantra a full year earlier than normal. This popular compact sedan will be released sometime in late 2010-early 2011.

As you can see, this Next Gen Elantra Sedan has the 4 door coupe like exterior akin to the Next Generation Version of its bigger brother-Sonata, featuring Hyundai's new Fluidic Design phillosophy. Yet, it will boast an elegant appearance to compete with Buick's new small car based on the Cruze, and features a more lower slung suspension than the current model. The Next Gen Elantra will be on a new Hyundai small car platform that will underpin the Accent, Elantra, and Veloster. The Next Gen Elantra will feature Hyundai's new Theta-II 4 cylinder engine, and will return 40+ MPG.

The interior is light years ahead of the current Elantra, and features a more upscale appearance than the current model as well, copying the sporty yet refined Interior of the Genesis Coupe.

Expect to see high end vehicle content, especially in the upper trim levels. There will be a Coupe and Crossover variant as well.

What do you think?

This is not an insult. I am simply stating that the car gives a sense of "young hip" lol. I see some Audi and Buick (somehow). Lexus inspiration, and the beauty of a mass produced, inexpensive car achieved only by Camaros, Mustangs, and Challengers. That's just what I see, and I have great hopes for the car.

Just a prediction. I kind of feel that Honda has been producing some really stale product lately. Look at the upcoming Sonata, looks promising. I'd probably buy the new Sonata over an Accord. I've been a long time Honda fan but I just don't like their current direction.

Hyundai is getting their design grove on. I hope the assault continues. This model and the new Sonata will do wonders for the lower end. Awesome effort Hyundai!

I always wonder how these spy photographers can get so close to the car and not have a few meters worth of hollow-point lead projected their way. Or maybe a Wellington or two swung in their direction! LMAO! Then again, maybe they do...

This next model's redesign fits in well with Hyundai's push upmarket.
