Ford supports new bill that will ban hand-held texting
FoMoCo is endorsing a new bill in Congress that will ban hand-held text messaging when operating a vehicle. A Senate version, brought forward by by Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., would withhold highway funding to states that don’t adopt the ban.

Ford’s vice president for government relations Peter Lawson said that Ford was endorsing the bill that he called a “common-sense measure.” He said that the bill would not prohibit people from using Ford’s Sync system that offers drivers the ability to send hands-free text messages.

Let's also add shaving, putting on make-up, painting finger-nails, and reading books, newspapers, and such. The news recently covered a story on a guy in Canada who was tickted -- He was watching a porn DVD on a mobile DVD player on the passenger seat. I suspect it was a good movie, and he didn't get a chance the previous night to see how it ended ;-)
