Spy Shots: 2010 Lexus LF-A /LF-L caught almost uncovered
These are the latest spy shots of the upcoming Lexus LF-A (or LF-L as it is rumored to be named) obtained by Japan’s New Model Magazine X. The vehicle is partially undisguised; we see how the headlights appear and we also catch a glimpse of the “two stage” rear wing. Apparently, this vehicle is the Lexus LF-A/LF-L V10 sports car.

The spy shots give us an idea of the modifications made to the car. The headlight design didn’t come as a surprise since it’s actually a close match to previous reports. The prominent turn signals on the front bumper appear to be unchanged from the prototype, which was caught testing at the Nurburgring. Also shown is the “two-stage” rear wing that had very distinct positions with a lower setting complementing the fully raised position which will change automatically depending on the driving mode selected.

i like the two stage rear wing concept. Actually cant see the pictures of it on the link but at 7tune.com you can. like the headlights, nothing too fancy or too big like the new Ferrari. This should be a great car. Can't wait till the Tokyo Motor Show.

That photo is sooooo hot! Definitely world class hotness. The yellow back drop and fuzzy cartoon image quality only showing the headlights and no details of the car only increase its prestige. Way to go Toyota!

Freshseth83,

I own a Japanese car and I love it. It does have a German Transmission though.

The problem with this car is that by the time it is released, it will age really quickly because of the gestation period between concept to production. I hope Toyota has plans for a successor soon...

zzz? oh that's the sound you make when you're dreaming right? I thought so, staring at a car that you could never afford, and if you had the means, could probably never fully drive would make you dream of what it would be like. so yeah, zzz all day.
but seriously how long did it take for the audi R8 to come to realization? I thought the R8 was the name of a race car from about hmm, 6 years ago? And how about the new Camaro? How long did that take to bear fruit? Eurotrash lovers here, we know from the pictures of the silver arrow that you probably don't own either.

fresh, he could never drive it because it isn't in production. At this point it is just vaporware.

@ ThierryHenry14

I don't thinks so look at the JZA80 supra. Some are 15 years old and still the get sold for more than a 5 year old M3!

Do you realy think that the first attempt of Toyota to create a Supersport car will be enough to compare it with Ferrari (which is doing sport cars since the begining and just sport cars)...or even MClaren...? Come on please...let's wait till the car is out.

car didnt take that long to come out, it was just a concept car. how many car concepts do you see make it to production? if anything we should be happy Toyota is bringing this out, even if it an expensive lexus. What makes the new McLaren better than this? Or the new Ferrari? Or the Lamborghini? We have to wait till it's out and that will be next year, Akio Toyoda even confirmed it's production. We'll see it at the Tokyo motor show next month. zzzz every other performance car that has 550hp and weighs just over 3000lbs.

What makes the lambo, ferrari,etc... better than than this lexus? How about you can actually buy the other cars while the lexus is just vaporware at the momment. Why do you think that the lexus will be just as good? The only time that a lexus beats anyone in performance is before the car is actualy released. That's when the Lexus lunatics chime in and claim superiority before the car is in the dealership. When the car is finally in the showroom and is compared against the competing BMW, the Lexus allways falls behind the BMW in regards to driving dynamics.

Now all of a sudden, Lexus is supposed to build a car that can compete with Ferrari? Good luck. Lexus can't build a car that beats BMW.

I'd like to know why people think that Lexus can compete with Ferrari when they can't even build a BMW killer?

if lexus don't build cars that compete with BMW why is it that they outsell them? This car has been in development until they get it right, unlike other car makers where they just rush a car into development. You bring out that you can buy the new ferrari and new Mclaren, but yet you can't as those new cars aren't out yet either. They unveiled their sports cars in their home markets, europe. Lexus will bring it's car out in it's home market, Japan. What is to say that Toyota can't make a super car? It's richer than any other automaker, each year it makes enough money to buy EVERY auto maker there is. If anything Toyota could purchase BMW, Mercedes, and at one point they had enough money to buy the VW group. But they don't buy their way into the supercar territory they built their own. How about the GT-R? What did that do? Oh yeah, for 80K it splashed onto the scene and took on cars that cost almost twice as much and won. Namely the 911, the ZO6, and the R8. If Nissan can do it Toyota can do it. Just because you're a euro lover doesn't mean the Japanese can't do it. Half the technology in modern cars are because of the Japanese, so look down at your computer and see what company makes them and do some research. Quit hating on the Japanese brands because you like the Europeans better. It's lame.

First thing first. The 3-series outsells the lexus IS's. The 5 series outsells the GS. Lexus might outsell BMW in certian areas (rx) but not across the board.

Second. Just because Toyota has the most money doesn't mean that they could build the best performance car. Case and point? The Toyota F1 team has yet to win an F1 race. Toyota is getting its butt kicked in F1 despite having the most money.

3rd. The GT-R is not a Toyota. When Toyota Builds a GTR like car then you can brag. and the 911 and Z06 do not cost "twice" as much as the GT-R. The Z06 is around the same price as the GTR.

And finally, if a car is hot it doesn't matter to me where it originated from. I own a Japanese car.
