Could This Be The First Fruit Of Volkswagen Ownership? 2013 Porsche Spider Renderings Surface
Based on the Volkswagen BlueSport Concept and rumoured to share many of its components with the Audi R2 the 2013 Porsche Spider could represent what the future of Porsche may be under Volkswagen ownership.

Significantly smaller and lighter than current offerings, the new Spider could open the Porsche ownership experience to significantly larger audience much like the 914 and 924 did in the 70's and 80's.

Should Porsche produce such a car, or are they better off catering to a higher end market?

The profile looks very nice, with an appealing degree of (uncharacteristic) sensuality to the belt-like, but...

Those taillight assemblies almost look as thought they were taken directly off of VW's New Beetle, which may prove quite off-putting to the average Porsche customer.

We'll see when the 'real thing' surfaces.

I know, the lights are specifically rippped off the New Beetle. The actual car looks like a messed up Boxster.

EW Ford Thunderbird meets VW Beetle with a splash of Boxster. Disgusting.
