STUD or DUD?: Naked 2010 Infiniti M56 Gets Caught In The Wild

STUD or DUD?: Naked 2010 Infiniti M56 Gets Caught In The Wild

Infiniti may have "revealed" the new M in 3D virtual reality earlier this year, but never mind that, we have the REAL thing!

On my morning run today, I unexpectedly stumbled upon two pre-production testers. No clay models here – these were as real as it gets. Sporting cues from the Essence Concept, nothing is left to the imagination with this test car as only a few poorly placed pieces of tape cover the badges.

I agree its Beautiful, I love the curves it looks great now lets hope the exterior mathches the interior because i am not too crazy about the interior in the infiniti cars yet. But I think this will do well doesnt look like a A8,7er, or S-Class competitor though isnt this supposed to be their flagship car or is the Q comming out again

I like it. It looks classy and ready to take on the Lexus GS. It looks different with a hotrod like stance. I am still not yet convinced of an Infiniti car being a tier 1 luxury car but the outgoing M is a very attractive car and I have driven it to Lake Tahoe on a 1 week trip. This one is surely to please. I hope Nissan uses the momentum theire gaining to put some effort on this one. This is the savior of Infiniti. If there's not a new Q56 then let this be the new flagship.

Can't decide just yet if I'm veering towards stud or dud. From the b-pillars forward, this car looks fantastic. From the b-pillars back, that heavily sloped c-pillar looks frumpy and almost gives off a hatchback look. Love the wheels though.

I think its safe to say that this will be Nissans true 4 door sports car with that 5.6 liter in the engine bay (sorry Maxima). I give it stud status.

This is hot, definetly a Stud! I want one in dark grey! Have to agree with you, this is their 4 door sports car! The new M looks like it will be the best in its class. Awesome job Nissan/Infiniti!

Big Stud. Tail lights resemble CLS but rest is very original. Performance is class leading.

Looks pretty good overall. I would like to see it in person 'cause it has some of the cues of current G that I'm not too crazy about.
Currently I own '03 G Coupe and '03 FX45.

i guarantee it takes away 5-series/GS/XF owners. the new E-class' design actually drives people away...

M56 Sport...that's gonna be a serious force to reckon with!

Interesting design, will grow on me, hope to see different angles.

New motor will be sick in this car. Now if they can only find a way to throw the GTR motor in the M and possibly make it a M/AMG fighter, would be an interesting battle.

I take it back, after looking at it closer, it looks very nice. I was expecting more revolution than evolution. Love the flowing lines and the lower front grill

That front doesn't look very dynamic or sporty, possibly because we've seen a similar shape on an overweight SUV from the same company before. I'm not feeling it. The rest of the body looks great. Interior is very nice.

Looks better than on the clay model, but I'd like to see it in person. My guess is that I'll love it, but I really wish they would consider bringing the V6 diesel to the US as well. For the US, they have to have a v8 for sale even though almost none will be sold. A diesel, however, would be a good sales boost for a price premium over the v6 gas.
