The Spies Capture the Nissan Qashqai+2 on US Soil and Ask You To Decide, Is It A STUD or DUD?
As my wife and I left the local mall tonight, I spotted a new Nissan I had never seen before parked beside our car.  I quickly grabbed her camera and grabbed a couple photos of a new Nissan SUV called Qashqai+2.

The mall we were at is directly across the freeway from Nissan's US Corporate HQ, so seeing new Nissan's is nothing new, however this particular SUV is something I had never seen before.

Perhaps most interesting is a secondary badge on the rear hatch marked dCi - I wonder if this might be some sort of acronym for a diesel engine.

Either way, this Rogue sized SUV with seating for 7 had a nice stance and proportion, and although the interior photos I attempted to capture all turned out blurry, I can tell you firsthand the interior looked pretty nice.

Ultimately though, this isn't about what I think, but more importantly what you think, so go ahead and tell us if you think this new SUV is a STUD or a DUD.

Yup. It doesn't get more "regular" than this.

It's been around since 2007. I've seen it quite a bit in Europe. It's a real snoozer.

It's called Qashqai here in Middle East but i think this is the newer, Seven Seater Qashqai+2. Looking good compare to competition.

I doubt you can fit seven American-sized people in a vehicle the size of a Rogue. Safely, that is. . .

Why everybody's asking "Isn't that the Rogue?".

If you are interested in world automotives you would know that Nissan Qashqai exists for 3-4 years in many countries around the world and Qashqai+2 is just longer version.

Probably the car is available in Mexico like european Focus or all french brands (Peugeot, Citroen, Renault) and somebody bought it from there.

Well hell, this looks way better than the Rogue currently sold in the US. I'll take it!

FYI, dCi stands for Diesel Common Rail injection. We have it here in NZ in the X-Trail. A 2l diesel 110kw, 340nm torque. I love it. More in manual. The Qashqai is due for a mid-cycle facelift next year.
