2010 Toyota 4Runner coming with the same price as the 2009 model
oyota expects a sales boost to its SUV and crossover lineup with its introduction of the 2010 4Runner, which will be priced similarly to the outgoing 2009 model. Sales were reported to be down 63% for the period ending in August; so understandably, a price increase wasn’t considered. The 4Runner carries a $29,440 base price, including $800 for destination.

If you’re willing to dish out $30,000, Toyota offers five SUVs and crossovers at various levels of equipment (that doesn’t include the Sienna van), four of which many consumers might reasonably cross-shop. At a dealership meeting, Toyota revealed that it plans to make leasing more affordable to get market share.

When VH-1 does their "Back to the 80's" specials, they should use a picture of this in a segment of that show!

looks tough which is what it's supposed to be, not like your ford explorers and other girly SUVS, this thing is supposed to look rugged and it more than likely will be. If it's going back to it's roots with the look it's more than likely going back to its roots with performance too. More power and torque, that's always a plus.

i'm pretty sure they couldve made it look tough, and not ugly. examples of such are: Hummers, Chevy silverado, land rovers, nissan armada, etc.

I'll reserve my judgment until I see it in person. I remember when they teased the Highlander I bashed it to high heaven. In person it is not half bad.

My God---I thought they had completely ruined it with the current model (the previous version was an incredibly good-looking truck), but no, they managed to make it worse.

If the remade National Lampoon's Vacation, this would be Clark Griswold's family truckster.
