2011 Ford Super Duty
Ford's big profit fiesta won't be the dinky li'l car almost finished moving around 'merica. No, the bread n' butter for FoMoCo is the trucks. The first look at their newest — the all-new 2011 Ford Super Duty

Revealed today at the Texas State Fair, the 2011 Super Duty features both an all-new diesel and gasoline engine mated to a new transmission. We already know all about the new diesel, the 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 turbocharged diesel engine, was designed, engineered and built in-house by Ford.

On the exterior, the Super Duty's front face is looking more and more like the Super Chief concept revealed in Detroit a few years back. But it's what's inside that counts.

I always thought if I needed a 1 ton 4x4 I would get the Dodge, I have heard from a friend of mine that in the Alberta oil fields (Tar Sands) that Fords last the longest out of the big three, then Dodge and Chevy trucks are the weakest, that is coming from the guys that use and abuse them to the fullest, I am impressed with the engine improvements and the tranny sounds good, I would wait a few years until they worked the bugs out, You always hear about the people that buy new vehicles with design problems get stuck with the bill unless you spend a lot of time fighting them, Back to the truck, I hope that they have improved the brakes, All domestic trucks suffer from poor braking performance, I would like to see a truck with 20in rims with min.37in tires and the largest brakes that fit into the rims, why not try to get a 60-0 mph in 100ft? These new engines sound promising, more power, lighter, and more efficient.

I agree with you entirely! Who wants to go fast and finds they can't stop?

So this is like the extra super duper duty since there was a last generation one.

I love the ford trucks. I had an F150 supercrew FX4 and thought it was an awesome vehicle. It drives well, has great sound, good pickup and I got decent mileage. better than most SUV's on the market.
I would definitely get a Ford truck again. If I get back in to the SUV market, I will just get a truck instead for my family.

Sorry. I lost interest in Ford trucks long ago. Notwithstanding the fact that trucks should be about the capability and less about looks, anybody who thinks this troll looks "cool" needs to first learn what the word cool means.

What looks cool to you in the truck world? Do you want looks or function? This ford is the most functionable half ton on paper and off road. The Toyota isn't even on the radar, there transfer case doesn't even lock, I don't even think it has a low range?does it? Chevy? no comment, Dodge, so so.I will drive the ugliest function able truck, I am tempted to get one made, or I will get the Ford Rapture in two years?

When are they going to change something besides the front grill? the body hasn't changed since the original super duty 10 years ago. At least change the bodys shape. Look past the grill and its the same old styling of 10 years ago.
