EXCLUSIVE: THE M-car to own? New pics of the BMW M6

The M6 looked killer in the Interlagos blue.

An interesting tidbit about the new M6 is that it is the first production car to have bumpers AND a roof made of carbon fiber...

Had these components 2 years ago.

I thought lotus uses carbon fiber in the roof a long time ago.

Good from afar, but far from good. Take a great ride, package it in a Banglish skin. Load it with a cheap interior. Strip away the controls and shoe-horn in iDrive, and you get what you you have here. Still, I am sure it will appeal to enough rich folks with bad taste to sell a few units.

A decade or two down the road, don't go looking for this baby in a glossy hardcover book of classic auto designs.

Too long and overly designed, like all current BMWs.

Yeah all BMW cars are good but they r overlyyyyyyyyy designed.

But i am astounding that how some BMW fans and reviwers says that BMW's r very simple in everything, from design to the engines to the features.

M6 is no exception.

I'm sure it's a monster to drive, but come on - the thing looks like a Chrysler Sebring with the rear end stolen from a Cirrus. I wasn't crazy about the 5-series but admired its originality, and it has slowly grown on me, save the weird interior - like it much better than the new 3. Just saw a new M5 on the street the other day and it looked downright stunning. But this just doesn't do a thing for me.

I should say the current BMWs are overly STYLED (not designed) on the exterior, while the interior could use more efficient layouts. My wife has a previous 325i and the interior is very functional and not too many flat, dead space. My sister-in-law's new 530i has quite a view areas of dead space and not a lot of storage for small items.

I am a fan of how BMWs drive, so hopefully the next revisions in design will be less controversial.

Saw one on the road. For the money, it is another me-too looking car. For the price, anyone could do better
