Audi Q7 ready to steal away sales from Porsche and VW

After seeing the new Audi Q7 in person for the first time I had to wonder who on earth would buy a Cayenne, Cayenne S or Touareg after doing a side by side comparison.

It's the best looking of three, has the best interior look and quality, has three rows of seats, panoramic roof, rear backup camera, lane departure warning system and the middle row of seats can adjust forward or back.

If I were a Porsche or VW dealer right now I'd be soiling myself.

We predict the Q7 is really going to ring their bells.

And if you're wondering...Audi quietly worked out an arrangement with Nissan over use of the Q name for the 7 as well as future Q's like the Q5 etc...

Offcourse Q will sell but more for it's favourable and affordable price than it's design or features.

But first of all i tell u all that i am an Audi fan,so

Rear:

I don't like the whole rear of Q7 including lights,bumpers...etc for many reasons.

1)It doesn't look good on this much big SUV.It looks better on small cars like A4 and A6.

2)The rear of the Pikes Peak's Concept was beautiful(the most beautiful ever on an SUV) but Audi has ruined it when they turn it into production.

3)Last row passengers will not get much head and legroom because it's a medium size SUV and not a full size SUV like suberban or land cruiser which intends to give 3rd row seats and plenty of head and leg room which people also expects from them.
How can one expect three rows of seats from a mid-size SUV.........i can't say anythin.

4)And i think there was no need for the 3rd row seats as nobody will use it or can't be able to use it even if they opt for this option.

Front:

Front is very beautiful, very similar to the Concept's but it looks more smooth and modish like ML's than rugged and rocky.
but unlike it's strong and successful rivals like toureg,Cayenne,X5...etc which looks more sporty and rugged.

(But there is no doubt on amazing Q7's off road capabilities)

I am just saying about the feelings and thoughts which one gets when they look at it.

AND the complaints which i have from Q7 only in the design,i am sure many CARMEN and Coustomers will have....believe it or not.

ANd i think Audi will listen to our Complains and will do some styling changes especially in the rear in the mid-life face lift of Q7.

But atlast,Q7 will be very successful really very successful and it will be or it will become one of the strongest player for AUDI.Especially Q7 hybrid will be unbeaten.

I was at Audi's Designers' Tuesday earlier this week and saw the Q7 (along w/the RS4, Lemans, Shooting Brake, S8 and the R10 race car) in the flesh. All around nice (especially the interior), but I agree that the rear needs more polish and the seats need ventilating. With a fully equipped, 350HP V8 model costing under $60k, this baby will sell, for sure. Although I just picked up an '06 A8, the next minor facelift of the Q7 may be added to my stall :-)
