Study shows that Hummer owners choose it because of its high emissions

There’s a stigma attached to Hummer owners due to the vehicle’s high emissions and fuel consumption. However, according to the Journal of Consumer Research, this is mostly why people buy these cars.

The group asked a selection of 20 Hummer owners why they bought the large SUV and it was found most buyers were attracted to the macho US image the car portrays. While many believe that Hummer owners are seemingly unaware of the implication of their choice, the opposite is true. The report said that the owners find driving a Hummer “a highly moral consumption choice.” In reality, Hummers are claiming the moral high ground and think of themselves as the moral protagonist who “defends American national ideals.”

The only thing a gas tax will do is slow down the rate at which the us govt is losing money. High gas prices in the past has proven that people will still drive. Only this time knowing that the only reason that they are higher is due to the govt will only piss people off.

Has anyone ever heard of the Frazer Institute? They are promoting a documentary in Oct about the conspiracies of the whole global warming, they are saying it is all a conspiracy (BS)and Obamma is the ring leader, that is basically what it is about, there words not mine, There are many other vehicles that get even worse mileage than the Hummer but you never hear about them.Some people drive a H-1 because they want something that can be driven off road! And government loves gas tax, especially in Canada, then again Europe is 2-3 x higher tax than us canucks.

There are many scientists that say global warming is a natural phenomenon.Most of us are not scientists and we have to question who pays the scientists for saying that? I believe that is naturally occurring, just a little faster with the help of industrial pollution mostly, Or is all the small penis Hummer owners fault? lol I would love the H-1 for the record.

Article after Article have shown that the vast majority of Scientists who claim that Global Warming is Man Made are funded by Governments or Organizations who have a vested interest in the "Man-Made" theory.
Governments like it as it allows them to Tax Emmissions. (More Revenue)
Said Organizations look towards different ways to profit from it. (Carbon Offsetting and Trading).

Many Scientists and Labs who did research and found little evidence pointing to the "Man Made" Theory suddenly found their Grants/Funding dried up while those who Kept to the Script had no problems with funding.

I suggest you start thinking logically instead of swallowing the Kool-Aid without hesitation.

I guess the Last Ice Age was ruined by our Ancestors with all their Carbon Emissions.
