....Better AC. My experience has found European cars have very good air conditioning systems.

Quick to get up to temperature, not headache-inducing like some Japanese cars, and with more thorough filters.

Riding in a Saab 9-5 in heavy traffic, there was no smell coming in from the vents.

Man, if those fender flares were only more fluid, like the current M3 or the upcoming RS4. Need to see it in real life but it looks like a Maybach father married a CLS mother -- keeping it in the family isnt always pretty ;-)

Mercedes rules!!! There is no better car in the world. Lexus will always be a Toyota. You have to drive any MB AMG on the race truck (AMG Challenge) to really understand it potential. Lexus can't even be seen in the rear view mirrors. Have two AMG (SL55 & G55) and will never touch any Lexus-Toyota with the 6 foot poll.

Now that is a nice Mercedes. The rear has a slight look of Maybach (which is not a bad thing at all) and the thing looks like it is moving when still. Time for me to win the old lotto or get some inheritence cause I could definately see myself in one of these! And for those who think Lexus will blow this car away, think again. Lexus will never have the prestige of the "3-pointed Star" (the second most recognized symbol in the world!)

Who here said that lexus even compares performance wise to a AMG model? Lexus Has never produced a supercar or a car with over 350hp to date. Of course a 469HP Suv will Smoke it.. Why not be fair and compare it to the high performance Porsche, BMW and Audi offerings?

Notice the major contradiction above. Lexus's products are more advanced, and better, but the overall quality isnt as good? I am lost. If mercedes problematic electronics are "quality" give me the cheap stuff.

A company can offer a superior product for less money than another. It has to do w/ labor cost, production/design efficiency, how the technology is aquired (having to pay another company to use their technology). To simply say that because something has a higher price tag its better is just plain silly.

They are both rated the same by the NTSB. But just for research I will run both of them into walls at 60 mph this weekend. My wife has a lexus, and she has been in 2 big accidents. While the repairs were expensive ( as any luxury car would be) Both time she has walked away with nothing but mild whiplash. One of the accidents she hit a car the pulled out in front of her at 35mph.

If a car salesman fed me that line of crap I'd walk out of the dealership ASAP. I dont want to look like a rapper.
