Hyundai Equus Stretch Edition not coming to the United States
Fans in the US will be disappointed to know that the Hyundai Equus Stretch Edition that’s now on its way to several countries might not be arriving in the US . According to Hyundai USA , it has no comment on plans for such an edition in the U.S.

While the future of the Equus limousine in the US remains unsure, Hyundai has previously confirmed that the standard Equus edition would arrive in the US where it is being set as a contender to the country’s luxury car market that has been dominated by Lexus and BMW. If the Equus limousine does make it to America , the car will be priced considerably higher than that of the Lexus LS 460 and the BMW 750i

Yeah, I heard her husband is a Hyundai salesman in the greater Toronto area, and she describe herself as a "near-beauty B-segment girl going upweight". She used to call her husband "Honey", but switched to "Hyuney".

How sad

Again all of you are hating on Hyundai because it's a Hyundai. Ever thought it could really be a decently built luxury car? I'm not disappointed in this car not going to the US but I am more disappointed in your car fans. Lexus have become successful mainly in the US so I don't see why not Hyundai can't have a chance at it too. Sure the brand is tainted with ECO all over it but come on. The car doesn't look half bad at all and I'd love to see Hyundai feed off the momentum they had from the Genesis.

Everyone's hating so I might as well be the one deboosted. But if that happens it shows a lot about people. Arrogant and naive.

That is one nice car. I'm no Hyundai fan but Damn! I looked at pics of the interior and it is no doubt high end. I think it would compete well with the S class/7 series etc. Not sure how performance would be. I am sure it could match acceleration numbers of the Germans but not too sure about how well it will compete as far as handling though.

I seriously doubt that anyone is heart broken over this news.

Aw, I had my heart set on a Hyundai Equus streched-out edition.

"Super Genesis" sounds a bit gauche and tacky, perhaps Hyundai should try something a bit more understated, like 'Genesis LWB'

The Hyundai Equus may be a nice car, but no one interested in a S-Class, 7-Series, A8 will think twice about buying one.

Someone into the LS may buy the Hyundai.
