Tokyo Preview: Nissan Eporo Concept shows us something...
Nissan found an ingenious way to avoid car accidents and it got its inspiration from a school of fish. You heard that right. Fish can change direction abruptly without colliding with others. They are also able to travel side by side while keeping a certain distance between each fish.

Nissan unveiled its EPORO robot car concept, which mimics the behavior of the fish. The concept will make a formal debut at the CEATEC Japan 2009 electronic technology show starting on October 6. Many have noticed that it bears a striking resemblance to the Jawas in Star Wars. The Jawas were a pygmy race that inhabited the desert planet of Tatooine and they were in brown cloaks and had glowing eyes. The EPORO robot cars come in a wide range of colors, including brown and pink, and also look like they have little eyes.

Sounds similar to the cars in the movie Minority Report- they would communicate their position to one another so they could make rapid movements in various directions without colliding
