Ford To Kick Off U.S. Spec Fiesta At LA Auto Show Large Demand Expected
The highly successful Ford Fiesta Movement will end around the same time the 2009 LA Auto Show debut in December. Since Ford began its Ford Fiesta Movement in May, 50,000 individuals have shown interest in the car, most have never driven a Ford product. The Fiesta sales is only second to the high volume sales king in Europe, the VW Golf.

<shaking my head> How come 50,000 interested people is okay for Fiesta but not for Volt? And how come we're predicting great sales of the Fiesta when it's launched, yet when great sales predictions of Volt are announced they are not believed? Double standards in the industry...

How much is the Fiesta compared to the Volt. They are two different concepts.

Yes a double standard but not important because those that voice the popostion are not do nothings anyway. The Fiesta has something going for it, a large following in Europe, not that it makes it ok, but Ford is at the ready for larger volumes than the Volt. I read (I need to find this) that Chevy will produce about 10K Volt models the first year or so. If anyone has the exact numbers, feel free to chime in.
