2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Temptation With Two Doors
AH, the sexy, sporty life of a coupe: cruising, preening, flirting like a playboy. All the while, its sibling, the sober strait-laced sedan, commutes to meetings, raises a family and tends to the bottom line.

That frivolous image is one reason many potential Mercedes sedan buyers would never think of getting a two-door.

But even if you’re one of those buttoned-down Mercedes prospects, do yourself a favor. Take a fantasy spin in the new E-Class coupe before you decide to settle down with the sedan...

Just recently saw one driving on the road and it looks great on the move. (I've seen them stationary at dealerships and car shows)

It has potential but only in AMG form. I do like the sedan though. It has road presence, it's luxurious and looks like how a luxury car should look.

the interior also is not as nice as the sedan and offers fewer options this I dont understand like why does the the E class sedan offer sportier interior options than its alleged 2 door coupe version doesnt make much sense. It is nice looking from some angles others not so much

How is the interior worse? They're literally the same thing.

THe e class coupe has an interior that is similar to the new E class sedan they are not identical, the sedans interior is much nicer in many regards despite the fact there pricing is about the same. Maybe do some more research.......

It's still really impressive. Now how do they balance between aerodynamics and lifts and downforce for the performance models? What about a chin spoiler that extends out as an adjustable wing would? KITT's super pursuit mode style!

MBZ got it right with the coupe, can't say the same for the sedan.

Will somebody please explain what is going on with the rear side windows. Do you mean to tell me that Mercedes Benz cannot find a better solution than a stupid little fake window? Also, MBZ has got to get away from the tired "wedge shape". I am glad that MBZ can boast about drag numbers. Those great drag numbers come at the expense of a bold design.

Agree, that little frame allow the rear glass to open completely, but it doesn't look good. It looks like a 2 doors sedan.
