New Beetle coming in 2012 with more back-seat room and better packaging

Volkswagen is currently working on the new Beetle! These words came from Stefan Jacoby, president and CEO of Volkswagen Group of America who admitted that the new version of the legendary vehicle will arrive in 2012 with more back-seat room and better packaging.

The next generation of the Beetle will also be more of a halo car for Volkswagen which expects to achieve higher sales. “There is a great opportunity with the Beetle and the emotional fabric it has to offer,” he said. In order to obtain better sales, an essential idea will be to provide more space inside and better packaging, because all the complaints regarding the current version are related to the cramped rear seat.
