I have heard that this design got some last-minute tweaking when GM bosses decided it didn't want to go too retro, as in the same vein as the Challenger.

I don't know how close to its show appearance it was 'tweaked', but apparently it could have looked much more retro.

Maybe GM bosses suddenly woke up.

I really hate to admit it, but I kinda like it.

Looks to big in parts, like the proportions are off, which could be if what everyone else here is saying, that it may have been rushed. If GM builds it, I wonder if it will be too late. This retro thing has been around a while now. And with Chrysler saying it's Dodge Challenger if built could be out by 2009, I am just wondering if all this retro feeling will be over. It has bee around since Chrysler brought out the PT Cruiser and Plymouth Prowler. The "retro" style will truely be retro by the time this car makes it into production.

I don't believe this will be a hit. Too futuristic to cash in on the nostalgic crowd like the Mustang did, and not styled well enough to stand on its own for the people who want cutting-edge, or should I say "creased" designs.

Chevy copying Ford and Mopar with the retro design and failing miserably. Can they come up with an original idea??? It looks like a 67-69 in the back and a '72 crossed with a Caddy CTS in the front. If they build it, the redneck Chivalay supporters will buy the heck out of it.

As for you, CCDangie, what do you want? You want retro or original? The Mustang and Challenger are very true to the classic designs. I'd say the idea of blending gen 1, gen 2, and modern Caddy is much more original.

Here's the problem, Ford copied a '68 Mustang and did it well. Dodge copied a '70 Challenger and it looks amazing. So Chevy decides to jump on the bandwagon and they make this thing. Had they just stuck with copying the 67-69 model, it would be perfect.<br><br><br>
Sorry Uncle Jesse, its no joke. A lot of guys I know buy the Bowtie despite poor build quality, horrible re-sale value, and snooze styling.
