Ford Hybrid Vehicles Becoming More Popular
Ford hybrids recorded a 73% sales increase in the US in 2009 compared to the previous year. We’re guessing that a primary factor to this result is that in 2008, the Ford hybrid offering was much poorer.
A very important thing to be taken from these figures is the fact that more than 60% of the buyers of Ford’s hybrids are new to the brand.

Consider too that other hybrid makers have to contend with a 14% drop. In a release, David Finnegan, Ford hybrid marketing manager, said that more than 50% of these previously non-Ford owners also own import brands, mostly from Toyota and Honda. Ford’s hybrid offerings include the Fusion and Escape, as well as the Mercury Milan and Mariner.

I would rather have the Ford too, I am sick of driving small cars around, and this gets comparable gas mileage.
