Looks good,quite sporty and handsome like it's cousin S8, also it has got the same 5.2 Litre FSI V10 producing 420HP engine same that of S8's is pretty impressive.{S8 produce 450HP}

This car is really great,even it is better value than S8.

But generally saying or asking u guys that which engine u think has an a edge or will be more preferable of the two

1) The 5.2 litre FSI V10 producing 420HP 0-100 in 5.2 in S6,S8
OR
2) The 4.2 Litre FSI V8 producing 420HP 0-100 in 4.8 in RS4


Remember i am not saying about the cars that which is better the RS4 or S6 but only thir engines.

Don't be fooled by horsepower ratings. The V10 (Lamborghini based) in the S6 and S8 is a more torquey engine, ideal for a rapid cruiser like the S8.

The equal-output V8 in the RS4 is more rev-hungry, thriving on high piston speed and therefore less suited to an executive sports saloon.

Both engines are deeply impressive, and are ideally suited to the cars they propel.

To say one engine is better than the other based purely on figures is pointless, because both produce their power in different ways, and both perform different roles.

Also remember the V10 in the S6 and S8 has been de-tuned after been taken off Lamboghini's hands, which normally produces 500bhp.

But it was re-tuned by Audi according to their needs so that they can fit it in differnt S and RS varients.

The original 5.0litre V10 engine in Gallardo produce around 500BHP,which Audi may de-tune or up-tune according to their models,like

For merely restating my original comment.

Audi would have de-tuned the engine for a number of reasons, mainly to have a less peaky power delivery.

Because of the S8's weight, Audi engineers would have tuned the engine for more torque to help lunge the luxury sedan into the horizon. Horsepower does not make one engine faster than the other, torque and gearing ratios influence performance the most.

Audi would have also been given the task of differentiating the V10 from the Lamboghini's, as not to dilute the exclusivity of raging bull ownership.

What conceptcar,can't argue with u because i think u became a new enthusiast of the cars and never tryied an Audi.

I had a 2004 Audi RS6 ABT Sportsline 505BHP which i replaced for the 2006 BMW M5 recently.
And i know that car drives and looked better than the M5.

An automotive design student who bashes one of the most influencial and recognisable car designs of the last 20 years, and who can afford a 2005 M5.

Just remember that the TT was first shown to the public in 1995. The design has not changed since then, and it still looks as fresh as when it first saw the light of day.

I really do'nt understand why Audi USA hires salespeople who do'nt have knowledge of the product they are selling. I called Audi of Downtown LA and asked when the S6 would be available. At first the Saleswoman told me there is no such thing as an S6. After taking a deep breath and resisting the urge to rip her a new A$$#*@!. I told her yes there is, I'm looking at
it right now on Audi Germany's website. I then told her it looks like I know more about your cars then you do. She said that she would check into it and call me right back. About three minutes later she called and apologized and told me that her Sales manager informed her that the
S6 will be available in October and that none of the dealers will have it in stock. According to
her the car has to be ordered from the factory.

It looks like I'm going to have to go in armed with all my information when I'm ready to purchase my S6 because it's obvious these people do'nt have a clue. Maybe it was just a fluke but you would think that a salesperson would know something about a $70,000.00 car that is all over the internet and has been shown at carshows
and is available already in Europe.
