Very nice and luxurious interior! I think Mercedes has hit a home run with this new S- Class. Looks great outside and in! And has some of the best graphics when it comes to its command center!

1) Soda tray is placed dangerously too close to the i-drive unit. Driver with crumsy hand grip will spill soda all over idrive unit - electric sparks lighting up interior like disco hall causing needless deaths on our highway! But if lucky..it'll only be like spilling soda on your keyboard and you know awful that is. Becomes a very sticky situation does it not?

2) Why haven't anyone thought of placing a cooling coil around cup holders? The weight of the bottle automatically activates cooling coil to keep your booze cold while driving!

3) Say you have arthrtis on your right hand resulting from your haydays of professional bowling league? Operating an idrive would make you feel like you are playing with a fire.

Color matching is done exceptionally well. If you look at the top photo you'll notice how well color of the leather seat and rest of the interior color matches perfectly down to the back of rear view mirror visor. Very nice touch!

I love it's interior but i still love Lexus's and BMW's more. The only con for MB is it's front dash, which is almost empty looking and blandly/ overly use of wood. It's not even eye-cathy (maybe only for those who r finding the similaritis of BMW's and Audi's in it).
The buttons on the doors are moreeee than enough, and some looks like they have no use.
MB also looses it's traditionall centre gear lever.

No doubt very very inspired and overdone interior ,copy copy......

Several have said the dash is too empty looking..... I think this minimalist look is good considering not too long ago MB and BMW were always criticized for having too many buttons and controls. Too me the less looks more. Would make me feel more at home without all the buttons and switches all over the place. Now I dont know if this Command system has voice recognition, but if it does, that would make it even greater

Luxury interiors are about the fine craftsmanship, attention to detail, and away from the norm architecture.

If you want a busy, cluttered, and hard to use luxury dashboard, buy the new LS. All your cluttered and busy dreams will come true!

Black with savannah interior. Will be delivered between 2-7 and 2-15. The light colored/creme interior looks almost like a two-tone brown/creme combination in some of these pictures. Hope it looks good with a black exterior. Anybody actually see this car in black with this color interior?
