RENDERED: 2011 BMW X3 Hits The Web

The current BMW X3 will have to soldier on for just over a year more until the arrival of an all-new model, previewed here in this computer-generated rendering.

Recent spy shots of BMW's next-generation X3 prototype indicate the company may be moving the crossover's development forward to match the competition. With the release of the newer Audi Q5 and Mercedes-Benz GLK, BMW will almost certainly be a little a worried about losing its leadership position....

Oh, thank God!!! This next X3 looks 50% better then the current X3 that actually looks like the upcoming X1. I was wondering if BMW was going to make the next X3 look more like a 3/4ths-sized X5 and I was basically right.

I like the sizing and general exterior. Does anybody know if BMW is considering an M-version of the X3?

Why X1 and X3 if they have almost the same size. What they need is a X7 to offer another alternative to the GL....

Looking at the pictures, the only think I can think of is the horrible 6 speed transmission in my 07 X3. They would have to drastically change the look of this thing before I would ever forget the bad memories. No thanks, I’ll pass.
