Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake on hold due to financial problems
For those folks who don’t know, Mercedes-Benz was preparing a shooting brake version of the CLS four-door coupe but something happened… the financial crisis came and it appears that the German manufacturer put the vehicle on hold.

The car was set for a 2011 debut, a year after the unveiling of the new model which will be revealed in 2010. Of course, its a pity, because the Mercedes-Benz ConceptFASCINATION (shown in the photo gallery) made quite a buzz at the 2008 Paris Motor Show. Also, the car could have the same success as its sedan brother, because it would be the first in its segment. If you remember, the Mercedes-Benz CLS, at the time of its launch, was the only car in its segment and after its success the competition rolled of the Volkswagen Passat CC and Audi A5 Sportback.

I'm Happy ..that could be as profitable as the X6 or 5GT,.....no sence on those designs...their efforts should be concentrated on high volume sales only, at least for now.

That is nice. But nobody uses 'Shooting Brake' any more. Even in Blighty. If you do, you are most likely a total pratt.
