2010 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado in Oman

2010 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado in Oman
I am in Oman (UAE's neighbouring country) for some days now, mainly here to buy new cars and outside Toyota's stock yard near their Showroom i spotted 3 all new 2010 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado loaded on a trailer.

This same car will be badged as Lexus GX570 in USA and maybe this time V6 variant would also be offered.

Some info about Toyota Oman: Toyota Oman, a group of Saud Bahwan, are the largest dealers of Toyota behind only Japan and US.

I wasn't too excited about the next-gen 4-Runner. The exterior wasnt very impressive. Just a larger brick-like shape on wheels. Since the GX is basically the same vehicle, I'm not excited about the next-gen Lexus either.

It is nice evolutionary design and Toyota worked on the weaknesses like front end design and interior which are vastly improved. I personally liked it very much and it is a good step forward from an already nicely proportionate looking and capable SUV. Finally it also got the family touch which would appeal to families that is absent from Land Cruiser.

Difference between Land Cruiser and Land Cruiser prado is that prado is more towards family purpose still very capable and Land cruiser is more like maximum mix of comfort and capability and more towards professional usage.

Although this looks nice, the LC has transformed from a capable off road machine to this, from a macho tough go anywhere 4x4 to this metro sexual 4x4. This looks like a Rav-4, and I like the looks of the rav4. I would like to see an off road version of this.Or a real off road package that consists of more than stickers and shocks.
