And here I thought you couldn't find a Lexus uglier than the IS-F. I was wrong. This thing is hideous -- especially with that roll bar.

The IS look is aging quick in my view I don't know why. There's nothing exciting about the convertible. The IS models are too cramped inside. The preferable choice for me are the A4's, C-Class, 3 Series, TL-S, or the G37.

The rear of the IS-C reminds me of the Toyota Fortuner. While the color patterns aren't similar. It clearly resembles a Toyota badge car that's sold in the Asian market. Smart on their behalf. Fool all Lexus owners here by making them think it's unique.

BUT before all the fanboys deboost me. I do drive an LS and an S550 so it's not that i'm bias. :) Good day.

Is this what it takes for Lexus to compete? $30,000 plus in aftermarket parts? Glad I'm not a lexus fanboy because there are several other things that are more worthwhile, that could have been done with all that money.

I'd really like to know who the Lexus fanboys are on this site? I'm certainly not one, not really my cup of tea, but people always talk about the Lexus fanboys and I have not seen anyone on this site exhibit those qualities (except for the obvious trolls who claim that Lexus is the greatest thing since sliced bread, we all know they're posing as fake Lexus fans trying to make Lexus fans look like idiots). What I have seen though are fanboys of other makes, blindly supporting their brands and/or origins of a brand, even though some of their products may suck.

Are you that naive _43LE? David999 is the perfect example of a fanboy who constantly spins everything to show Toyota in a good light.

Yes, but I would not consider David999 a true fanboy. He doesn't blindly accept everything Lexus does nor is he extreme. He is a fan though. Are there any other "Lexus fanboys" you can thing of?

How do you know that all the folks claiming that “Lexus is the greatest thing since sliced bread” are all fake fans? Are saying that Lexus doesn't have some unreasonable fanboys? I’ve been on automotive forums for over 12 years and IMO Lexus by far has the worse fans. Audi fans are now making a name for themselves as well.

Cars are cars and every brand has some models that suck. Some brands have more individual models that suck more than others. Lexus is no exception. Live with it.

"How do you know that all the folks claiming that “Lexus is the greatest thing since sliced bread” are all fake fans? "

-Well, it's pretty obvious to me...and most others here when someone says that.

"Are saying that Lexus doesn't have some unreasonable fanboys?"

-I have not really seen any here on Autospies. That's what I meant.

"Audi fans are now making a name for themselves as well. "

-I can think of a few more brands too way before the Audi fanboys, and worse.

"Some brands have more individual models that suck more than others. Lexus is no exception. Live with it."

-I can easily live with that, as I said I am not a huge Lexus fan. I really don't care. But it seems that people always love to mention the Lexus fanboys when others are often worse. And, there is so much more hate towards Lexus.

" but it seems like some posters are green with envy as they bash Lexus and not the tuner"

- You are correct. Both deserve to be bashed.

Green with envy? You wish. Lexus makes some of the lamest premium vehicles on the planet. Nothing to be envious about. They're plenty of good reason to not like Lexus. Envy is probably at the bottom of the list of reasons not to like Lexus.

Lack of a 2 sporting door coupe that someone can actually afford

Lack of a sporting automobile that has a comfortable suspension

Lack of a manual transmission in any car other than their cheapest slowest model

Toyota Camry Radio and Corolla Power Windows switches in a supposed to be "premium car" (IS) and general Toyota parts bin pilfering.

Lame boring styling

Forgettable wheel designs

thin cheap leather

$65k car that has a JDM looking body-kit that wouldn't look out of place on a Camry.

Poor resale value. or at least the IS-F does. 2008 IS-F's can be had for $43k. Pathetic.

I could actually go on but I'm not.

Ran out of space.

Rest of post"

What was your point again?

The reasons that I do not like Lexus are 100% valid. Sorry if that rubs people the wrong way but I will continue to voice my displeasure with any brand that I do not like. At least I provided reasons.

Lexsucks,
Thanks for pointing out your subjective opinions. Your list only consists of non-validated points which is completely irrelevant.
You want to talk about thin-cheap leather? Have you tried riding in a BMW 3 series before? And before you mention of Lexus' weaknesses, you might want to think about where the company was built upon. It didn't come from all the sporty goodness of a BMW or a luxury company like MBenz. Where it has gotten them is a more refined and quality vehicles than BMW and as luxury as a Mbenz. I can list a whole bunch of different things about other vehicles makes and models and their lists of pathetic options but, I won't, since I don't have to stoop down to your level. Your opinion borderlines hatred toward a vehicle's make. All someone did was post an article about a particular vehicle, it didn't ask for your 3rd grade bashing.

Lexsucks loves to cherry-pick criticisms so that they seem more relevant and true. He's so clueless he does not understand that everything in his list is either his subjective opinion or simply irrelevant for Lexus in comparison to BMW and Mercedes.

For instance, just the very first point:
"Lack of a 2 sporting door coupe that someone can actually afford"

...compared to whom? The Mercedes SLK is the cheapest two-door Mercedes. It starts a mere $8,000 ABOVE the Lexus ISC, the cheapest two-door Lexus.

SSP350,

"You want to talk about thin-cheap leather? Have you tried riding in a BMW 3 series before? "

- I used to own a 2001 3-series and had newer loaner 3-series cars up until last year. The leather in the 3-series is thicker than the leather in the IS-350. The leather in the IS-350 seems as though you could rip it with your hands.

“Your opinion borderlines hatred toward a vehicle's make. “

- Hatred? LOL! These are cars dude, not people. You’re acting as if someone insulted your wife. Hatred is a very strong word that I will never associate with anything. Not liking something and hating it are two completely different things. I’m not even close to hating anything in my life right now. Just because someone doesn’t like something that you apparently love, and speaks strongly about it, doesn’t mean that they hate the thing. Stop being so sensitive.

"All someone did was post an article about a particular vehicle, it didn't ask for your 3rd grade bashing."

- Someone asked for the reasons I do not like Lexus. I just simply answered. Sorry if that rubbed you the wrong way. Enjoy your Lexus dude. Not everyone has to like them. And there are legitimate reasons for not liking them. Whether you want to acknowledge those reasons is up to you. It is 100% acceptable for a person to not like something that you like. Get over it.

“I can list a whole bunch of different things about other vehicles makes and models and their lists of pathetic options but, I won't, since I don't have to stoop down to your level.”

- I could also list the bad things about other makes as well (including BMW). How is listing things that someone doesn’t like about a vehicle bad? I would like to see what folks don’t like about a certain vehicle. It helps people make an informed decision. I’m not sure why you take offence with that. Oh… I get it… It’s when that vehicle is a brand that you like, it all of a sudden becomes an issue. You shouldn’t let these things get to you. Finding out what is good about a vehicle and what is bad about a vehicle makes us all better consumers.

Anthony,

- You seem to forget that Both BMW and Infiniti build 2 door coupes that are in the Lexus IS class. You know… The G37 (which comes in a coupe) and the 3-series? If you want a sporty 2-door coupe in the $40k-$45k range you cannot get a Lexus because the IS250/350 aren’t available as coupes. The G37 and BMW 3-series are. What was your point agai

Take an already overpriced convertible that has an already aging design, slap on some odd green paint, some performance mods, and change the interior to white. Oh, don't forget the IROC roll bar, color coordinated badging and our logo on the front bumper. Sign me up (puke)

LexSuck,
There's actually a difference between supple luxury leather than thick cheap ass K-Mart leather. Your leather comparison borderlines stupidity. Your idea of quality leather is "Wilson's leather". They sell cheap ass leather jackets. Guess that's where BMW got their interior. :-) You spend so much time typing on this particular post, someone must've paid you or you're just really pissed that someone pointed out your 3rd grade comments. Get a life. And your comment about "hatred". Haha, so what's the BMW "soul"? Guess, it ain't anything since it's cars, no people.
