VW Releases Latest Sketch of Upcoming Passat Replacement

Expect to see familiar VW engines such as the 2.0T, 2.0 TDI, and possibly the 3.6 liter VR6 in the larger and Americanized sedan.

Fair enough. I suppose, being 2 years away it is a bit much to expect much more than that. As I've always stated, VW should concentrate on reliability and lower cost, more than building cars for the "American" market. Americans buy VWs for their European flavour at somewhat reasonable prices. I believe they are making a severe mistake. We would have thought they would have learnt from the first Rabbit/Golf debacle of the 70s/80s and recently with that bullshit return of the Rabbit name. Like Toyota, I think greed is pushing VW, more than common sense.
