Porsche detunes Boxster and Cayman to make them in Norway
What you will hear know is quite stupid… or at least this is what we think! Autozentrum Sport AS is offering a detuned version of the Porsche Boxster and Cayman, specially adapted for the Norwegian market.

The new edition of the Boxster has now 211 hp instead of 255 hp which provides savings of 87,000 krones while the Cayman features the same 211 hp from 265 and this means it cheaper with almost 106,000 krones. Although the amount of power that is lost is quite big, the performances don’t look too bad: the Boxster can still sprint to 100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds (if you choose the PDK gearbox the acceleration is with 0.1 seconds quicker).

Probably just less horsepower on paper. But that's one crazy tax.

The fact that they make the product WORSE to make it cheaper is the antithesis of Porsche and all it stands for. Those Jerk0ffenhouseroffs

From introduction in 1996 for MY 1997 to 1999, the Boxster only came in a 2.5 liter, 199 hp version. Those cars sold well and are still plenty of fun!
