The retro styling has definately come back for the designers at DaimlerChrysler. First the 300C, then the two concepts of the 'imperial' as well as the new Dodge Challenger R/T both have retro cues to them. This may be the trend for Domestics but how far this is going to go i'm almost certain only the classic car enthusiasts will be looking at this sector in the automobile industry. Sure the young kids out there who dreamed of having an old Dodge, Chevy, Chrysler, Ford, etc will think of this as an opportunity to own a classic looking car yet have it's modern day technology. I think it's definately got an appeal to all ages. It will get heads turning but that won't neccesarily mean they'll buy it.

The new camaro will be the greatest competition against this Challenger. Personally, i like the Camaro concept much better. It has the shape of a Vette' in the rear.

I wonder if Dodge plans to market this car like they do all their other cars.

Challenger SE - Big ugly, plastic wheel covers, and the 3.5L 250bhp V-6

Challenger SXT - Same stuff but alloy wheels and a silver grille

Challenger R/T - Same as above but with the HEMI V-8 and bigger wheels

Challenger R/T Daytona - Same as R/T but only available with offensive fruit colors and a three foot spoiler

Challenger SRT-8 - The one that actually counts.
