Would YOU Want THIS Ford?
Make way for the new Mondeo! Insiders have revealed the replacement for Ford’s big-selling family favourite will be more upmarket, stylish and efficient than ever, with a range of hi-tech turbo engines. And our exclusive pictures preview how it will shape up.

Sticking with a development of the current car’s kinetic design language, the next Mondeo promises to be even more striking. The five-door hatchback layout will be retained, but a higher waistline, more steeply raked windscreen and a lower roof will mean its overall shape will be closer to a coupé than a traditional saloon – a trend which was started by the Jaguar XF.

The bold front has a much larger lower grille, swept-back headlights and more pronounced lines in the bonnet – features it will share with the new Focus, due at the end of 2010...

Looks like an OK car, but if it's built by the UAW I will not have anything to do with it.

Actually...yes. The grill/front could use a little change, but the rest of it looks pretty cool.

Yes I would buy it with AWD and a 3.5 ECOBOOST Mill under the "bonnet"

The 1.6 with 150-180hp, the 180hp is impressive but not the 150 for a 2011, I would like to see the mpg on these engines. This looks a bit like a streched civic, I like it.

It would look goofy with US bumpers on it, but it is supposed to be a great car. SHO version would be a great car.

Definitely would consider.

No, because I know it will be FWD. (Fail-wheel drive)

Then why did you call it hexagonal?

It wouldn't be a copy of the Hyundai design. Ford has been evolving its Kinetic design language since 2005. (http://www.carbodydesign.com/archive/2005/12/13-ford-design-ideas/ford-design-ideas.php) If you will notice the lower grill is very similar to the one shown here.

In fact I see no resemblance to any Hyundai grills from the Ford Mondeo shown above.

I think it's great looking, and I'm no fan of Fords either. If it had the right engine in it and drove well I'd definitely consider it over anything else in their lineup.
