BBC Report Now Casts Doubt On Renault's Formula 1 Future

Britain's BBC reports that Renault management has called an emergency board meeting in Paris to consider its Formula 1 involvement, in light of Toyota's decision earlier today to withdraw from grand prix racing.

According to the report, the board will consider whether to continue the current program, reduce it to becoming an engine supplier, as it did in partnership with Williams in its previous F1 involvement, or quit the sport altogether. The BBC says the emergency board meeting will be attended by Renault F1 bosses Bob Bell and Jean-Francois Caubet, but they will not be allowed to take part in the debate about the team's future.

It is time for Bernie and Max to go. They have stripped everything exciting from the sport -- the V10's, launch control, tracation control, etc. Let the teams run wild.

If Renault also pull out, that will only leave 2 manufacturers Mclaren Mercedes and Ferrari. 3 manufacturers quitting in less than 12 months with strong chances of Renault following them. Something definitely went wrong and should quickly change.

This is quite sad. That's an understatement. Look at what F1 has become. All the major teams are out and now left is Ferrari who will have competition from low-budget teams who want to make it in who are now able to. Restrictions will cost the league EVERYTHING!.
