Jaguar Unveils Plans For A New C-Type, Aimed At Porsche Cayman
A famous Big Cat is about to roar into view again. This silver dream machine is the all-new C-Type – and it’s set to turn the spotlight on Jaguar.

We previously revealed the Coventry firm’s plans for an exciting new roadster. Now, Auto Express has learned Jaguar is planning to take the stunning sports car further upmarket.

Sitting below the XK, the C-Type line-up will cost between £45,000-£50,000, targeting top-end performance cars such as Audi’s TT RS, the Mercedes SLK 55 AMG and Porsche’s Cayman with a blend of pace, luxury and practicality...

I disagree. This segment has intense competition (SLK, Z4, Boxster, Cayman, TT, etc.) but has limited growth potential. I feel like the cars in this class are hot when they come out but are then forgotten about as the newest competitor arrives.

Jaguar would be better off focusing on an entry level 3-Series, C-Class, G37, etc fighter. After the X-Type debacle, it will be difficult but I believe there is far more financial reward for them in this segment.

Looks pretty fitting for a Jag coupe. I likes that 2-door Leaper.

The front facia is fairly flat and it looks right for the brand...indicates luxury.
