The most exclusive Range Rover introduced yet?

The Range Rover Mayfair Edition manufactured by Mayfair International, was designed to satisfy the needs of a very special group of Range Rover customers.

The Mayfair is available as a Mayfair 300 or a Mayfair 600, being 300 or 600mm longer than a standard Range Rover in the rear foot wells to maximise space, comfort and leg room and provide unique 1st class road travel in utter luxury and style.

Available with Land Rovers new Supercharged 4.2 litre 396bhp V8, new naturally aspirated 4.4 306bhp V8 or the turbodiesel engine.

One of the main criticisms of the Range Rover is that for a large car, the leg room is only just adequate in the rear compartment. Mayfair International have developed a solution that tailors the car to the customer’s exact requirements, including –

· Enhanced exterior styling

· Full length panoramic glass roof

· Exclusive interior styling

· Electric reclining aircraft style rear seats

· Fridge

· Business/personal audio visual systems (Wi-Fi)TV/DVD

· Engraving/embossing to the interior trim.

· Armouring to level B6 and above, available on request.

Off road on this thing would be suicidal! Mainly due to low profile tires and ground clearance is too limited! Originally designed to be "an off-roader with some military DNA(?)". Its a shame that Land Clover designers have ruined it by changing it into a wine catering urban mobile.
Exterior haven't changed much since its inception and I have no comment on this issue..but interior needs an update. Stubborn designers need to accept .. that things need to continually evolve..not stagnated but my biggest complaint is definetely the low profile tires? What in the world are they thinking??? Smoking hippie lettus again???

Land Rover didn't design this car and their people had no help with this. Mayfair is a third party company that decided to do something for people that wanted a little more "bling" in their ride.

Land Rover knows what works and they don't mess with sucess. I would bet you that Land Rover would probably suggest you just stay with the original.

And what is with that title 001? Exclusive? Are you nuts? I just got back from the Washington Auto Show and they had a nice ol' regular supercharged Range Rover.

That was much nicer than "that" thing.

Yes, LR3s have been out for some time, but I haven't seen too many. It looks small in pix, but substantial in person - still can't believe this thing weighs 5,700 lbs! Styling is subjective, but LR is taking the boxy look to its grave.

Had a lr3 loaner on friday while my 05 RR was in for servicing. Sticker was $47385. I dont know any crackhead that would pay 47 grand for that p.o.s. Forgive the language but the car was nothing to write home about and certainly no better than any 30000 dollar suv. The best part was the stereo system but again you dont need to spend 47k on a great stereo.
