Infiniti Chooses To Take Essence Concept To Chinese Motor Show Over Los Angeles
In March, Infiniti unveiled the Essence concept car at the Geneva auto show. Like most concept cars, the Essence is sleek, sexy and stuffed with especially wistful machinery, including a 592-horsepower 6-cylinder engine and collision avoidance technology.

But Infiniti didn’t ship the Essence to other auto shows, where it would have faced critique from automotive journalists. Instead, the sports coupe traveled to high-end shopping malls and hotels around the country, with stops in New York City, Miami and Atlanta, where the Essence met the common populace.

Probably because of the power and fuel consumption Obama didn't allow it to come in for show. "uuhh Make that car electric...and uuuuh Give it some green leafs...and we as a nation will accept your automobiles for our children."

Looks like Infiniti has been getting way more positive feedback for the Essence. They're shipping to areas where they'd most-likely get actual sales. Somebody inside the ranks may be building a case to send the concept to production.

Its true China's auto market is growing, but hey why not bring this to our shores too? It doesn't make sense.
