Jeep’s small SUVs will use Fiat-supplied platforms starting in 2013

According to Crysler’s five year plan, the upcoming Jeep small SUVs will be using Fiat-supplied platforms starting in 2013. Jeep brand CEO Mike Manley said that the legendary American brand will drop the Patriot and Compass crossovers after 2012 and will be replacing them with a single C-segment vehicle whose platform will originate with Fiat Group.

So the bottom line is if you want a REAL Jeep like the Liberty or Wrangler, buy one before 2013. Good thing I'll be in the market when the Liberty refresh comes out before they replace it with god knows what cutesy little thing.
