2010 Mitsubishi Outlander GT to make its debut at the LA Auto Show
Mitsubishi will unveil its new 2010 Outlander GT at the 2009 LA Auto Show. Images of the SUV have recently been released however, the technical details are still undisclosed.

There are two engine choices including a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine making 167-hp mated to a 5-speed manual or an optional CVT automatic with Sports Mode sequential style shift. Powering the top-of-the-line model is a 3.0L V6 that outputs 226-hp and is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission with Sports Mode sequential style shift change and INVECS Smart Logic.

The old gen design was better, since the humongous grille is a bit awkward on an SUV.

<sigh> This is why Mitsubishi is where it is today. Absolutely no balls to their marketing. Here's an idea, you assholes. Take the Outlander, take that 2.4L engine and drop a turbo on it. Bring the power to over 300hp and you have a winner. The V6 engine? You don't really need it, but we would have to be seeing at least 450 to be really raising eyebrows, which is what is needed. Well, what you reap is what you sow. Such is life. Perhaps they do need to depart the US market.

I haven't noticed Mitsubishi since they built the Starion.
