PHOTO GALLERY: Real Life Shots Of The New BMW 7-Series XDrive With M-Sport Package
This week, I had the opportunity to drive some of the 2010 product from BMW, one being the 2010 7-Series equipped with the M-Sport package.

We tested it at the headquarters in Woodcliff Lake, NJ and I have to admit I was feeling very Tony Soprano like during my cruise through the surrounding neighborhoods in New Jersey.

It is one sweet package and the in our opinion the most beautiful 7 yet.

And the drive?

Like a DREAM.

Best large sedan on the planet right now.

Enjoy these fine shots we took of the car.

I agree with the cut lines on the new 7. But I personally think that the front end is a bit off. I personally think that the grills are too large and that they should have been included in the hood. Also the lower half of the front end is kinda odd with the chrome brows.

That line gap you're talking about is an optical illusion - if you measured the spacing it's the same all the way across the bottom of the hood, but the different angle on the side versus the front makes them look different. I thought the same thing when I first saw the car, so I actually took a ruler to it.

This car is ok its not nothing to be all cracked up about. its NOT an official M7(which what should have been done)The interior looks exactly like a regular 7, has an M logo on the door sill (CORNY), The grille is chrome and it has the X5-M wheels on it. Im not impressed at all BMW needs to give the public an officail M7 and stop having us do aftermarket upgrades to create an M7. Its going to sell so people can have a sport look NOT sport performance.......I think since they are doing away with the V10 in the M5 and the M6 they should throw it in the 7 and make an M7. I see alot of you people are impressed by this but its not impressive at all IMO.....

In terms of looks, I dont think there has ever been a more elegant BMW. It looks perfect.

How does the xdrive version drive compared to the RWD version?

You can't tell the difference.

But I was on dry ground.

Wish I could have driven in heavy snow/ice.

M53R,

I have to disagree. The current 3-series coupe looks amazing. The 7 has really weird rear-end light shapes and the front grill is too big. Also, the front headlights look like they belong in a much smaller car - not elegant at all.

I had the same doubts about the 7 till i rented one last month.

This Vehicle has PRESENCE, The attention to detail is staggering, the Rear Lights when on at nights is Unlike any other vehicle's out there ( VERY THICK LED TUBES)

Then you mention the technology.

Even the Customs'Officials at the Calais Border were more interested in the Vehicle than in my Passport.

Vehicle in Question 750 LI

I95SPEEDINGTICKETS,

I'm not saying it is a bad looking car, it just could look better. Personally, I prefer the look of the S-class or the new XJ.

As for presence, almost all big cars have presence. But I do know what you mean, this car does make you turn and stare at it.

The rear lights have a cool design but the actual shape makes them look like they belong on a strange Korean car (no offence), not on a top of the line luxury BMW.

Just my opinion.

I actually bought a brand new 750Li like 2 months ago :)
It's parked everyday next to the S63 AMG. I'll try taking pictures whenever I can. The 7 actually makes the S class look inferior imo, especially when they are put side by side. Might be a first for BMW, but the elegance of the 7 totally blows the S class away. BMW have really upped their game in the large sedan market... too bad the pricing is too high and it happened to come out during the recession.

The side profile of the rear is quite generic. Couldn't they have thought up of a better C-pillar? Also, the lower grille isnt working for me...however, the interior is nice.

LOL. a better C-pillar. of all things to comment on!

that C-pillar is called the hofmeister kink. it's been on all BMWs for decades. it's also a trademark that your beloved lexus has adopted on all its sedans in recent years.

I like the extra leather in the interior. Funny how they blacked out the chrome around the windows but added some in bumpers.

Mad because it's not a Cadillac and wasn't assembled with the 'aid' of fat, greasy, dirty American digits?

You are not suppose to look for lots of fun in this segments anyway. And if you don't like any large sedan, then Overrated is certainly not the word to describe what you think.

Great car. I think that, for the first time, BMW has a chance to dethrone the leader in this category, the S-class.

There is a reason the front end has to be big! Has anyone realized that all of the vehicles have to be a flat front because of the european regulations for pedestrian safety? duh!
You are going to see all of the vehicles have a flat front end because of the regulations. if you have a problem with this, write the european union, dont blame BMW, MB, Audi, Jaguar.

beautiful car. the M sport version is my favorite of the 7-series. and love the saddle leather with contrasting black carpeting (practical too).

An industrial design school should build a two-semester course around the cabin design alone.

Car looks really nice, only thing I wish they would do in future models is get the tail pipes out of the lower bumper. Looks a little aftermarket in my opinion.

The 760Li with this M-Sport Package was featured on the first episode of Series 14 of Top Gear! Looks like Series 14 is gonna be great! Poor Series 13 and its budget cuts.

I love how the wood on the doors have a discreet function - as door handles. It also give the wood trim an even greater solid feel - as if they were cut out of thick wooden blokes rather than simply glued on sheets of wood.
