Many original FJs still see abusive service in the roughest parts of the world along with LandRovers; both being evolved from Military DNA. Last FJ was built around 1983 and I have a feeling it'll even out live the new Hummers in my honest opinion! These bank vault on wheels well log in some incredible miles folks!
Let's just hope "new" FJ will able to uphold its positive reputation of the papa.

Why would Toyota get into the off-roading sector? They already have Toyota trucks which are doing okay in sales I believe. The new Titan doesn't look that bad but this FJ cruiser looks like *rap!. Looks like a cross between a H3 and a Jeep. They're trying too hard to get the consumers onto the Toyota 'boat'. Instead they'll fail because the truck buyers will look at GM/Ford before Toyota. Off roading, they'll go for a Land Rover(Ford Motors) type of vehicle.
