BMW's X1 Takes A Beating Overseas, Sign Of Things To Come?
Not for the first time, BMW is heading into uncharted territory. Following the success of its X5 and X6 models, the German giant aims to break into the compact SUV market with its all-new X1.

X-badged BMWs now account for one in five of the firm’s sales. And, to broaden the latest car’s appeal, the brand is set to offer two and four-wheel-drive variants.

Here, we test the entry-level rear-wheel-drive X1 20d sDrive SE. Power comes from the maker’s tried-and-tested 177bhp 2.0-litre diesel engine, and in this trim, the X1 weighs in at £24,205. That puts it in sight of prestige and mainstream rivals alike....

One of my friends did a european delivery and sat in the new X1. He said it is about the same size of the current X3, but tends to sit slightly lower. He thought it felt like a 5 series inside. They told him the next gen X3 will be the size of the previous gen X5 and sit slightly higher than the X1.
I would get it if it comes in the N54 engine variant.

Auto Express does a terrible job of photos. Cant they take decent pictures? They should have the rear gate open so we can see the space. how about a back seat picture? front end picture of the ford kuga and tiguan? below average website.

I don't like the angle of the front bumper and the inferior section of the bumper is even worse something is not matching properly , but anyways as I can see this car is on the street soon.

Digustingly ugly from the rear end. The front looks too big, as if they stuck the front-end of an SUV on a small car (which they did). WTF is the point of this? They should've released the new X3 sooner instead of wasting R&D on this pointless vehicle.
