Rumor: Shelby GT500 Mustang to receive an EcoBoost V8 engine
Ford Motor Co. claims that its engine – the EcoBoost V8 Shelby GT500 Mustang – has more power, less fuel consumption, and lower emissions. Despite detractors saying that it’s too good to be true, Ford is prepared to prove it by offering this technology in up to 90% of its line-up by mid-decade. The carmaker also plans to expand the engine variations.

The term ecoboost is just another marketing gimmick. They can't sell ther cars based on their history and reputation. They have to brag and make convincing commercials to try to persuade s buyer to buy it. Look how all of GM's commercials do. Why do you think Domestic carmakers are always changing design themes and coming up with new names. Domestics are greatly improved however and I give them that. Kind of reminds me of that insecure guy with little man syndrom everyone knows that always has to be loud to gain attention or to be accepted while the rest just stand back quiet and confident.
