STUD or DUD: Is This R10 Rendering Where Audi Design Should Head?

STUD or DUD: Is This R10 Rendering Where Audi Design Should Head?
A Swedish design student, Marouane Bembli, took the liberty of creating some new designs for a successor to the monumental R8.

The question is, are they good? Do YOU believe this is the direction Audi should head? OR should Bembli leave it to the pros?

A Corvette-inspired R8 successor, with a chopped roof-line that appears to defy practical use? Those design students are darling, aren't they :-)

Forget the Corvette lines; they are as ugly here as they are on the Corvette. The R8 is a pure design, and should remain so. DUD!

I like everything from the the front fascia to the windshield line.....from the windsheild back it needs to be done over again......DUD

That would be a good direction to go in for a SEMA concept/fantasy vehicle. Otherwise, there's much more to consider for a larger, more intense R10.

The current R8 just looks like a more realistic version of this. I bet that if we saw some initial drawings of the current R8 they would not look too much different to this concept.

Headlights look awesome though

great evolution! there are noticeable changes for the better although, considering how Audi is grabbing the attention of many new customers (many of whom aren't that into cars), they should put this design into their lineup within the next couple of years before the hype in the general public quiets down.

Hideous. Just make the R8 a few cm longer to fit the V10.

I'll never understand the point of design studies. Ugh.
