First pic of the next Audi A4?

Its not good to refresh that frequently.

From what I understand the next generation A4 will be built on the upcoming Matrix platform.<br><br>
The engine will be placed behind the transaxel and the wheels will be moved forward to radically<br><br>
improve driving dynamics and handling. Also, technology from the Shooting Brake as well as other cutting edge technology will probably be introduced in the next A4 as well.<br><br>

As far as the A8 is concerned, Audi usually completely redesign their vehicles every 8 years. So, I would expect to see the next generation A8 to be introduced toward the end of <br><br>
2010 as the 2011 model.

I find it interesting that the caption under the photo says, "Be, afraid BMW" yet I see no reason for BMW to be afraid. It's good that Audi's future designs will be less plain, but for the most part the creases along the side profile (being the strongest change from current styling) are no different than what BMW has already been using a few years now. In the end, it still places BMW a step ahead. But there's also performance and handling (where BMW's no softie either). I respect Audi, BMW more, but much respect for Audi nonetheless.

The 'next' audi a4 has cues from the Q7 actually. the headlight and grill. Once question is i thought the 'current' updated A4 is the new generation a4. That's what the dealer said but I guess that's what they wanted me to think so i might've wanted to get one.

I have an '06 A8 SWB and absolutely love it! It "only" has 335HP :-) Although, I do wonder if the '07+ A8 will have more HP, since MB's new S will have 382 and BMW's 7 has 360. But the A8's aluminum space frame is almost 200 pounds lighter than both the Germans, which evens things a little. Power is nothing without control, and quattro was a big factor in my decision.

But to give my 2 cents for this article. This Photoshop A4 has the RoadJet's face and it does look like a BMW 5's side. I personally like the evolution of Audi's grill, so am quite excited about their future. Never follow!

Oh, man, this is BEAUTIFUL! With the LeMans (R8) becoming a reality with little design changes; and the Q7, RS4, S6 and S8 out this year, it's a great time to be an Audi fan :-)

Looks real aggressive. Two thumbs up for that but let see if they actually let this idea turn into reality.

001Buster-------- Why are you putting us down? Nobody directed any comments to you so why not just let it be and let people speak their minds on these cars? After all we're just here to discuss cars and share thoughts nothing more. And as for immaterial for anything over 250hp, why say 250 when you say 110 or so horsepower on the old civic hatch? Sure not everyone may use their car to its potential by putting the foot down every single green but it's about the thrill of driving such vehicles that make you a car enthusiast. Either you can't afford a 'fast' car or you're one of those 'anti gas guzzler' activists haha. It's just all fun and games on here. Why leave a negative comment about PEOPLE, and not the design of a car? hmmmmmm...

Hey ashmarke! Why don’t we just give everyone a Geo Metro and call it a day? Since 80-90 MPH is dangerous and all we do is drive from “point A to B”, then why do we need more than a 99hp Geo Metro? Please explain. I’m glad that you aren’t in charge of anything. You sound a little selfish.
