Bentley working on two new models: a shooting brake and a crossover
According to our sources from Bentley, it appears that the British manufacturer is currently working on two new vehicles which will definitely be a success: a shooting brake and a crossover!

It appears that these vehicles will both carry the well known W12 engine but also a new V8 engine, used on the Audi A8 but with an increased capacity from 4.0 to 4.5-liters which will deliver around 550 hp.

A Crossover Bentley?..Oh for God's Sake

I Blame this on Volkswagen...They've confused Bentley with Buick.

I guarantee they will not make a crossover.

It will be a Full SUV.

Bentley are not stupid like GM

Like the ridiculous Bentley Dominators of the 90's ? For Christ's sake, let Bentley make cars, not trucks !

I95, a unibody based SUV would be my definition of a crossover. What BOF platform would a Bentley based SUV be built on? Surely it would be more cost effective to build on a RWD unibody chassis than a BOF design.

By your definition of crossover, ill have to accept.

However I would wager that the Touareg will go almost anyplace the Land Cruiser could go so the crossover description might not be fair.

I always assumed crossovers were SoftRoaders like Infinity EX, Lexus RX, BMW X1, Freelander,MB GLK......

Hope you get my drift.

But ill accept your explanation.

There was talk at one point that they might do something on the Audi Q7 platform. I wonder if that could be the source of the crossover. The W12 I understand is going away completely so even if it is offered, it would only be temporary until the Twin turbo Audi sourced V8 comes on line with it's much more fuel efficient performance.

By the way, that would be the next generation Q7, not the existing one.
