Review: The best wagon yet?

Occasionally, you have to step back and consider the total package. And when you do so with the A4 Avant, you name it wagon of the year.

A big SUV is out these days for many people, leaving them looking for alternatives that don't include anything close to a minivan. That brings us back to wagons in general, and if you want to use its full name, to the Audi A4 Avant 3.2 quattro AT6 (long breath) in particular.

Just slip behind the wheel, and you'll wonder why zillions of buyers shifted away from wagons because the full-bore German driving experience is here in spades.

Wagon for under $60k, the E55 is king $60k+.

M5 wagon, E55 wagon, both fast. But if you want the best of all worlds, it has to be the Audi S6 Avant (or RS4 Avant for those pretending to want a wagon). AWD and top quality goes a long way when it's your dime.
